Our Privacy Philosophy
Your data is yours. Period. SoundStill is designed from the ground up to be a private, personal tool. We believe you should be in complete control of your information, and our data practices reflect that belief.
What Information We Collect
SoundStill does not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal information on our servers or any third-party servers. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not use any analytics or tracking services.
How Your Data is Stored
All data generated by your use of the SoundStill app is stored exclusively on your own device. This includes:
- Your saved tinnitus frequency.
- Your preferred notch width setting.
- Your entire session log, including dates, durations, ratings, and notes.
This information never leaves your phone unless you actively choose to share it yourself using the “Share Log” feature.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your data to any outside parties because we do not have access to it.
App Permissions
The SoundStill app requests the “Notifications” permission for one reason only: to enable the foreground service that allows your therapy sessions to continue playing in the background when you switch to another app or lock your screen. This permission is not used for marketing or any other purpose.
Children’s Privacy
SoundStill is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
